Let’s Toast!

OK, back at it! Back in the Saddle! Hopefully will be able to make time for posting once-a-week if not more. Thanks for your patience.
Life has been good, very good. Going up-ladder in a different industry so far has had it’s bumps, but the industry is way-more fun than window-coverings. Helps when the product is delightful. Being a hit on the wine-tasting circuit with a few top-sales labels in the state is nothing to sneeze at either. biggest and most state-of-the art in the state of NM is admirable, and 77th in the state in terms of size. All of these facts feel real good when considering my employer and product.
New Mexico Wineries is the producers of some great wines: D.H. Lescombes, Blue Teal, St. Clair, Mademoiselle, Plum Loco, Summer Peach, Wine-a-Rita, San Felipe to name more than a few. All produced in Deming, NM with grapes loving the sun outside Lordsburg, NM. I’ve been hired to oversee the sales representatives as Sales Manager, with 5 (soon to be 6) people to serve. What a blessing! Finally able to pass on all the great coaching tips and account manager skills I’ve been taught or developed (by God’s grace) in my 3 years with Skandia. Where with the last job I was a Window-covering expert, now I’ll expand my knowledge to cover wines and hopefully be more than a novice sommelier. The week after turkey-day I’ll be back at the winery to improve in “widget”-know how, so I can be more in-touch with the market/industry I’m now in.
St. Clair Bistro is related to our winery, it’s where all of our wines are available to taste and purchase. The food is reasonably-priced ($8-$17), and really good. the wait-staff are experts in pairing wine to the menu, so give it a try. Jess and I ate there last weekend with my folks… fabulous.
