Renovations at the Dixon lilly-pad…

So eventually we’ll have a pond for the lilly reference above, but for now it’s a dream come to life with a patio cover construct.  driving along Tramway nearby you can see the edifice rising above the level of our backyard fence. I’ll post some pics later, and probably again when we get the latillas purchased and in place.  Awesome stuff, plans coming to fruition, home improvements/renovations, etc.

CSI just started so I should pay attention and quit this post for now.  I’ll edit this post later with pics so scroll down to it in the future to see/read the additions.

Yaaa! I’m In!

Today I got the “welcome letter” into the PK Ambassador network, and am officially a PK organize-’em dude. PromiseKeepers has been a tool God has used in a big way to make me the man I attempt to be each day. God Rocks! It’s such a rush to serve Him. by volunteering (and subsequently passing the training program they require) I’ll be working to develop men’s ministries within churches in my area, and be the “point-man” for both information about coming PK events, as well as helping PK attendents after the events plug into a church that has a men’s ministry that would be the right “fit”. As stated to a 2nd cousin back in August just after the event me and my “band of brothers” and I attended in Colorado Springs, I do plan on expanding on what I learned at that event from the notes I took. Joseph Garlington was probably my favorite, presentation-wise, (God spoke mightily to me through him) but the whole thing was an incredible mountain-top experience that challenged me to this day in my thought-life/words/actions from the smallest thing on up. If you my brother have not your own “band of brothers” and spend time with them in The Word, you possibly haven’t experienced everthing God has for you in fellowship. I really want to help you get connected. If you are in a fellowship -Right on - and are interested in PK beyond the slick website linked above, leave me a comment and we can discuss it there.
