Hello, hello! right on, been only a week since my last post, and curious to find the last one never saved. Wondering also how the comments got turned off, as I don’t remember having done that. Oh well, life goes on.
Last week was killer, and not the good kind. Trained and did a ride-along with a rep up in Northern New Mexico, cover another reps route, be overjoyed with one and the complete and utter blessing of being able to invite them to the team, and not quite as happy with another. You know of course I have a team of 8 peeps to manage? There are days that are so ADC, or Adult Day Care. You who have not spent at least 6months in people management, or had children (mine are 2 and [-]3months) you probably cannot relate. Two long drives to T or C and back finished my week off, and Saturday couldn’t of come sooner. Had a melt-down of sorts in convo with my boss, we mutually decided if Jess would agree, adding her to the team in a very part-time manner would be a brilliant way to keep some of the “details” of my responsibilities in check. This would not only alleviate frustration on my end with aforementioned details and free me to concentrate more on my other duties, but please the office in Deming that was ready to string me up at times over my mistakes. God is so good!
Yesterday went to the flea with the fam, even had Asher’s “PapaBruce” along. Scored a better than current “travel-system” (Stroller, car-seat/car-seat base) for $35 buckaroos, a few non-fictions to add to the manager library, and a couple of trance/progressive CD’s for a buck apiece. Cannot complain, and all happily gained with less than $50 dollars. I love the flea, it’s like one-hundred garage/yard sales all lined up for perusal and purchases. Also gained Asher his first pair of DC Shoes (I can dream he’ll turn pro-skater at 11), what might those cost? $2! barely used, and clean/good to go! EEK even got him a starter skateboard that fits his 27month-size just right. Can life get any sweeter?
I oughta quit it with the procrastination here, I’ve work to do this afternoon to be prepared for the next 48 hours. Don’t really want to fire one of my salespeople, but it might just be the crisis they need to see God and His plan for them more clearly. Have another employee ready to be promoted, so that might commence this week as well. Eventually I’ll get back to my mid-week Bible study group. Naturally I’d be really excited about the study materials and direction the group has begun to take and I’ve been really too busy to be able to attend. My quiet time is still there though, Praise God for that!

Hello Friends,
Hired a bunch of folks to help work the weekend wine festival and saw to their placement in our booths. Southwest Wines, (my employer) had 6 booths this year so I had a lot of running around to do while there. I don’t think I’ll be enjoying a winefest as a “guest” or regular attender ever again after seeing/doing what I’ve done this weekend. Lots of people, warm temperatures, and a whole-lotta profit for the winery.
At the same time my folks hosted a family reunion here in Albq. I had this as a great excuse to leave the winefest early when I could, and had pre-conditioned my management (and anyone else who cared) that I wouldn’t be there for the whole festival. Yesterday was particularly sweet as I was there for not more than an hour and a half prior to catching Indy 4 at the theater with my uncle Kenny. Good times, Good times. Asher spent the day and night with my father-in-law so I could work the festival, and am now looking forward to his return. Have some stuff to run around and take care of with him, so it’d be nice to get that going soon.
Jessica is spending a few days with family in East Texas this week. Kinda weird without her home, I already miss her and she left yesterday. She needed the away time and I can manage, so glad she’s having fun without Asher for the time she’s there.
God is so faithful, so amazing, so righteous and Holy yet wants a relationship with us. Spend some time with Him, he longs for intimacy with you.

Hello hello! So that was weird. Didn’t have much control over the blackout this very site suffered over the past weekie or two. Glad it’s now fixed, and appreciate your patience! I’m going to figure out how to post from some other methods so I need-ent be online when I think of something to share. That way I’ll be diligent to update a post at least once a week or 10 days. I believe I can do it from MS Word if I remember correctly. Anyhoot, glad to be back, and tons of picts I need to post from recent adventures. Will get on it next “Asher nap” as that’s a great time to get it done if he’s not in need of attention.

Incredible how time flies. I do regret not posting for the last few weeks, but geez has life ever been busy! Obviously I’m not one who lives by internet solely, but that doesn’t mean I can get away with not posting at least something every week.
I apologize.
What’s been up? Tripped to Wichita to spend time with my Pops and Step-Mum, have been traveling for work lots (farmington, Taos, Red River, Angel Fire, etc). Just got back from a weekend camping trip with our SS class from Church. Off to S. New Mexico and Elpasout next week. Just busy! Asher is growing so fast! At 41k miles in Vanna, Riding my bike (one or the other) as often as I can, and spending more time (consistently) in the Word and In prayer than ever before… Feeling really blessed. Shooting photos/assemblage-ing a PPT show for VBS this week at our Church. Soon major changes may occur for me with X, and at the same time I’m more praying for Contentment and assuming a Gratitude Attitude (GA) for the blessings already received. I’ll explain X eventual if God wants it to be reality. We’ll see, pray for His Will to be done regardless.
Date night weekly soon to be a reality. Hopefully that can work out and Jess and I can “shore up” our marriage as all marriages need from time to time.
Anyhoot, there ‘tiz in a nutshell. Will get in a photo-post groove soon to share all the images recorded from recent adventures aforementioned.

I hate it when you have a honest REASON for something, but all you ever get told is that you’re making EXCUSES. Here’s the reason you haven’t read a post until now: My laptop is with my employer’s IT department getting some tweaks/upgrades. Other than that I’ve been way busy from sun-up to “My-time” with my Asherkins. I’m watching him right now as the wife is getting some chores done away from home (without him, a nice break for her). He’s been a wee-bit fussy, but right now he’s in the office with me trying to eat a mousepad as I type.
Next Wed. I board a flight to tall-a-ha-ss-ee to attend the annual sales meeting. Not really looking forward to it, and it’s not why you think. I’d rather be able to go and do the meeting, get the training/coaching, then fly directly back. Instead we’ll have some “team-building” stuff and a bunch of fancy dinners and parties that I have to go to. The funny thing is the “team-building” part. The “team” I work with is the customer-service folks in San Diego and my direct boss Pete via the phone. But will I see any of the fabulous people from the customer-service department in Florida? My actual “team-mates”? Yeah right. Instead it’ll be with people I only see maybe 2 times a year, and never have any contact with otherwise. Whatever…

One of my New Year’s resolution is to be a better husband to my wife. The Men’s Fraternity curriculum “The Quest for Authentic Manhood” I went through last winter did a great job of helping me to realize my potential and rise above my past “wounds”. Now that I’m a dad, and actively attempting to support my wife in raising our son, I more fully understand one particular tenent of authentic manhood, and passivity is a no-go for 2007. Those tenents in the full statement are: “Real Men Lead Courageously, Accept Responsibility, Reject Passivity, and Expect God’s Greater Reward”. I don’t think I’ve had a hard time with the other 3 statements describing real men, but until now didn’t realize how passivity in particular can creep up and overtake me. In the last 8-9 months with Asher in our life I’ve realized my role in the care-taking of him hasn’t been a big one. Of course I did change diapers, feed the night-time bottle, and so on, but I could see that in the bigger picture I wasn’t stepping up when I should. It’s as if I thought my life hadn’t changed a whole lot, and I should be able to do/play/go as I want because Asher could be cared for by his mommy.
NO LONGER DO I WANT TO BE THIS PASSIVE.
It’s really cool Asher is now 9-months old, and really expressive and animated. He’s grown so much bigger in 9-months than I thought he would, and realized I shouldn’t expect Jessica to carry the bigger-load of caretaking he requires. Actively involved is where I want to stay, and I know that by doing so I’ll enjoy a more fufilled marriage as a result. I don’t (obviously) mind sharing this with you, dear reader, and hopefully it will encourage you to seek Him. Expecting God’s Greater Reward is a statement everyone should be able to say, man or woman, and I’m praying for you in this regard.
Where are you in your walk? Do you know where you’re going? God longs for our fellowship. He desires we become more like Jesus in every aspect. It’s amazing His love for us, and I want to encourage you to seek Him and the potential He is desiring you to become. Comments welcome, discussion invited.

Are you thankful? Thankfulness isn’t popular it seems in our culture unless it’s the 4th week of November and someone “gives” some thanks for something that has benefitted themselves. What I’m referring to is a behavior of thankfulness. An “attitude of Gratitude”. What God has lead me through and blessed me with in the past 10 years has truely been remarkable. What He has done for all of us on the Cross has eternal signifigance. Funny how thanksgiving seems like just the last “hurdle” for retailers to wait for before the tempting and frenzied sales begin. Christmas to me is a huge thankful-party, not simply for the parties, gifts, and great food, but for the gift of Jesus our Redeemer, lover of my soul.
A new perspective on a common “Christian” statement has crossed my brow of late. “____ is the reason for the season”. Now what do you think belongs in the blank? The quick answer for anyone who’s heard the statement before would be “Jesus”. For the longest time I thought that was a correct as correct could be. To think deeper on the subject, I think you would have to agree that what belongs there is your name, my name, all of our names. Jesus came to DIE for our sins. To be the lamb that takes away the sin of the world. When the angels came to the shepards in the field and said those words to them (as the Christmas carol mentions), it made plenty of sense to them. Did you know they were watching over the sheep that were to be taken to the temple to be offerred as sacrifice for the community’s sins? That is what they did up to Jesus coming on the scene. Check any Old Testament reference for “sacrifice” and you’ll get animals being slaughtered for a sin offering. With Jesus going to the cross He did what no other priest before Him could do. Here’s some scripture that clarifies better. I’m thankful for God’s love for us that He would send us a means to become clean of our sins, and blown away that it would be through His son. Having Asher I have a greater sense of amazement in what He did.
Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with his blood mankind has bought.

So, I’ve finally gotten around to pasting up some pictures from recent events I’ve experienced first hand. It’s hard being a super-proud dad with the cuteness I’ve been blessed with so you can’t blame me for having a number of Asher pictures here too. Here’s my drummer boy to start:
A little shaky with the shot, but still beautiful from the one-of-two good days at this years balloon fiesta:

I tink that’s enough page-space for now… next time I’ll be more with-it and post a picture within the post it refers to, ‘ight?

So here’s a few from recent trips/adventures for you to enjoy. First off, most important, my Flamingo…
Then, a moment to peek at the camera while sampling semi-solid food!

Eventually I’ll have pictures adorning the template of this blog so I won’t be needing to load them into posts. But for now this will do!
