Been a while…

August 16th, 2007

I had hoped to not be so slack with posting like this again, aiming for once a week (at least). A bunch of amazing and not so amazing stuff has happened since I last posted, and if I could list it all I would.

Work is busy, been flying down to El Paso to serve that sub-territory for the last 8 weeks. Now in Albq. to serve the locals. Next sub I’ll hit is probably my northern for one trip to check in, then hit the Eastern-most section like I did in El Paso.

Riding is huge focus lately, as my other blog will testify. Here is it’s site for you if you’re curious. I’ve decided to list the rides I’ve organized and or done there in posts so they can be main focus. Eventual I’ll have some pics both there and here to support the textual.

One point I’ll leave you with that I’ve been teaching/dealing with for the last few weeks: excellence vs. obedience. Unlike religion that is man’s attempt to reach God via different “rules” or “quotas” of “works” where there is differing levels of “greatness”, God calls us to Holiness and that requires something far different from various shades of gray. God has shown His love for us by the atoning sacrificial work of Jesus, and because of that we should mind his commandments because of that. There are no shades of gray in Obedience, and that is what He desires of us, no compromise or % of excellence. More later maybe, depends on comments kinda as I know most of you readers are familiar with this idea (or at least I hope so).

God Bless~
