About

“Nemo Malus Felix” is a quote from the Roman Satirist/Poet Juvenal meaning alternately: Peace visits not the guilty mind or The mind of the guilty will find no rest. I learned of this quote within the context of a great Bible study I attended in the fall of 2005. Similarily Proverbs 28:13 states: “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” (NKJV)
I liked the core message of the Juvenal quote and its relation to the “internal warning system” we as humans have within us: our conscience. A great discussion on the basis of right and the natural laws is found in J. Budziszewski’s book What We Can’t Not Know: A Guide. Also I have on CD a message John MacArthur preached on what our consciences do for us, and the errors we commit when we ignore it’s warning.
So with the struggle to obey those “natural laws” as J. Bud calls them in my day-to-day I felt the quote fit with the inspiration and encouragement the Lord puts on my heart via His word and those He speaks through. I don’t want to simply give you a diary of my life for public consumption, but pass on the Good News that He reveals to me. Because of this Wanderings, Wonderings, and Words of Encouragement seemed a good sub-text to the title quote. I pray His words that make it into my posts from time to time speak volumes of who He is, and who He is calling you (like me) to be.
